Common Symptoms
When to call us
If you recognize any of these warning signs, stop using the appliance and call our dispatcher. Continuing to run a failing unit usually turns a small repair into an expensive one.
- Fresh-food section warmer than 40°F or freezer above 0°F
- Compressor runs constantly or never shuts off
- Water pooling under the unit or inside the crisper drawer
- Loud humming, clicking, or rattling from the back
- Ice maker stops producing, jams, or overfills the tray
- Frost buildup on the rear freezer wall or door seal
- Display board shows error codes (E1, F2, dF, etc.)
Our Process
How the visit works
- 1. Call & ScheduleSpeak to a live dispatcher, not a robot, and lock in a 2-hour arrival window — often the same day.
- 2. DiagnoseYour technician runs a full diagnostic on the sealed system, compressor, fans, defrost circuit and electronics, then explains the failure in plain English.
- 3. Flat-Rate QuoteYou approve a written, all-in price before we open a single screw. No hourly meter, no upsells.
- 4. Repair on the SpotEvery van carries OEM-grade compressors, evaporator fans, control boards, inlet valves and ice maker assemblies for the brands we service.
- 5. Test & WarrantyWe verify temperatures, listen for noise, confirm the ice maker fills, and hand you a 90-day labor warranty in writing.
Modern refrigerators are no longer simple cold boxes. A typical French-door or side-by-side unit ships with an inverter compressor, two evaporator fans, a defrost heater, a thermistor network, a main control board, a user-interface board, an inlet solenoid valve, a dispenser auger and an icemaker module — and any one of those parts can take the whole appliance down. That complexity is exactly why DIY repair videos so often end with a customer calling us anyway. Our technicians are factory-trained on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Maytag, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Bosch, Sub-Zero, Viking and Thermador platforms, and we carry the diagnostic dongles and bridge cables most independent shops simply don't own.
The most common call we run in Broward County is a refrigerator that has stopped cooling but the freezer still works. Nine times out of ten the culprit is a failed evaporator fan motor, a clogged defrost drain that froze over the evaporator coil, or a defrost heater that has burned open. We can diagnose all three on site in under twenty minutes. A second very common failure mode — especially on Samsung four-door French-door units built between 2014 and 2020 — is the icing-over of the rear cooling wall caused by a defective auger motor seal. Our team has repaired hundreds of these and we know the shortcuts that save you a four-hour job.
If your refrigerator is leaking water onto the kitchen floor, the cause is almost always one of four things: a clogged defrost drain line dripping through the freezer floor, a cracked or disconnected water-supply line behind the unit, a failed inlet valve solenoid, or a misaligned drain pan. None of those require a $1,800 replacement appliance — most are completed in a single visit for a fraction of the cost. The same is true for noisy refrigerators: a worn evaporator-fan bearing, a failing condenser fan motor or loose compressor mount can sound terrifying and yet cost less than $250 to fix permanently.
We service residential refrigerators, built-in column units, wine coolers and stand-alone ice makers. For Sub-Zero owners in Weston, Parkland and Coral Springs we keep specific gaskets, hinges, and condenser-fan assemblies on hand because Sub-Zero parts have notoriously long lead times when ordered through traditional channels. If you own a Viking, Wolf or Thermador built-in, please mention the model number when you call so we can confirm part availability before we roll the truck.
Honest advice is part of the service. When a 14-year-old top-freezer needs a $900 sealed-system repair, we will tell you to replace it. When a three-year-old French-door simply needs a $42 thermistor, we will tell you that too. Our goal is to be the only appliance repair number you ever need to save in your phone — and that only works if you trust us. Call (954) 245-6863 to schedule, or send us a message through any contact form on this site and a dispatcher will reach out within 30 minutes during business hours.
We dispatch to every major city in Broward County including Fort Lauderdale, Dania Beach, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Coral Springs, Plantation, Sunrise, Davie and more.
